Yesterday MacLedge a mac gaming site said that a deal was inplace between Interplay and Graphics Sim. Corp. to make three Interplay games, including D3. More info to come.

Jason Leighton's developer notes were updated yesterday. He talks about some of the finishing touches he's been adding and possibly a Fix-Of-The-Day spot on the website at Outrage a la Volition Inc.

Over at Descent3D I read that Descent3 is pushed back to May 28th, according to PCIGN, AND Electronics Boutique.

The probability of this is that it is TRUE.

As of every Tuesday, there are new robot and weapon MPEG's. This weeks are the Skiff (robot) and Guided Missile (weapon).

The Elite Descent Builders is a Descent clan which will design D1/D2 (and soon D3) levels upon request. You can also download levels which are already finished, and join this great team.

Yes, I was wondering when another would come too. But alas the PyroPimps, Hal9000 and Kiln have whipped a show with Adam Pletcher and Dave Baranec of Volition who are making Descent 4.

Mr. Kevin Bentley(Senior Programmer) has update his developer notes. Here's a tidbit.
First off, there is a new command line parameter for limiting the framerate. In the previous demo you specified the time you wanted each frame to take in milliseconds, using the "-limitframe" option. People found that confusing, so I added a new one called "-framecap " where is the maximum framerate you would like to have.

Also, if you record a demo at a fixed framerate, you can have D3 play it back and automatically take a screenshot of each frame. All you do is use the command line parameter "-makemovie", then choose a demo and play it back. It will take a long time to create a tga of every frame, so be patient and have lots of space free on your hard drive. I did a little test and made a small animated gif file which was pretty cool.
